Rotary Park

Rotary Park is located at 545 Al Wilson Grove.  The park consists of 1 practice field, tennis courts, a great walking trail along the dyke, an off-leash dog area, a sensitive ecological area along the Cowichan River footpath, and educational boards on flora and fauna.

Rotary Park received many upgrades in 2014, including new fencing, irrigation, turf improvement, bleachers, lighting, bridge replacements, and water fountains. Rotary Park is also available to book for a variety of sports practices and events.

Off-Lease Dog Area

Rotary Park Off-Leash Dog Area is located within Rotary Park at 545 Al Wilson Grove and excludes the playing field.

The off-leash area runs east from the Silver Bridge to Marchmont Road as shown in the park on the Designated Off Leash Area Map. Access is from the south-end of McKinstry Road.

Although dogs are not required to be on a leash, they must be under the care and control of a competent person who will be obedient to their verbal or hand commands to come when directed to do so, or can be physically restrained if required.  Owners are also expected to remove their dog’s excrement and lawfully dispose of it.  For further information about other dog regulations, please see Animal Control.

Driving directions to Rotary Park:

Traveling north over the Silver Bridge entering Duncan, turn right at the first light onto Trunk Rd. At the next light turn right onto McKinstry Road and continue straight to the parking lot. Traveling south, turn left onto Trunk Road and refer to the above directions from Trunk Road forward.
