Two Senior Staff Retiring

The City of Duncan is losing two highly valued senior staff due to retirement. Chief Administrative Officer, Tom Ireland, and Director of Corporate Services, Lynn Ketch, will both be retiring from the City of Duncan effective April 26, 2013.

“Both employees are retiring on excellent terms with the City” said Mayor Phil Kent. “Mr. Ireland has devoted over 38 years of his life to Local Government as a Planner, Director of Development Services, Corporate Administrator, and Chief Administrative Officer. Ms. Ketch has dedicated over 36 years of service to the City of Duncan in various capacities, concluding as the Director of Corporate Services”.

Mayor Kent went on to say, “City Council sincerely appreciates the professional work that they have brought to the City and expresses their gratitude for the years of diligent service they have given”.

The City has retained Ms. Karen Burley to fill the position of Ms. Ketch, commencing March 4, 2013, and the search for Mr. Ireland’s replacement has begun.
