Keep Informed on the Process of Legalizing Non-Medicinal Cannabis

DUNCAN, BC – While the Provincial government is preparing for the legalization of non-medical cannabis in July of 2018, the City of Duncan will have a considerable amount of work to do.  The City currently prohibits cannabis related businesses within the City boundaries.  Many bylaws and policies will be affected which will take some time to amend.  Therefore, we suggest keeping informed on Council business by subscribing to a couple of our online services.

Email Notifications: through the city website (www.duncan.ca), click on the green button “Sign Up for Email Notifications” for news alerts and event postings.

Council Agendas: through the city website (www.duncan.ca), click on the grey bar “Council Meetings”, in the middle of the page click “Subscribe” for a choice of all the meeting agendas to subscribe to for notifications.

A new portal provides improved transparency and user friendly access to information and records about council agendas, minutes, municipal bylaws and Committee minutes along with quick and easy access to complete Council agenda packages and live Council meeting web streaming.
