Notice is given under Section 494(1) of the Local Government Act that the City of Duncan will consider a Temporary Use Permit.
Purpose of the Permit
The Cowichan Women Against Violence Society have submitted a Temporary Use Permit application for the property located at 540 Cairnsmore Street to be used as a 15 bed, Emergency Winter Response Shelter for women from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. during the winter months of November to March. Upon expiry of the time period authorized, the use of land, buildings or structures permitted by the Temporary Use Permit shall cease to exist and shall not be considered as a non-conforming use.
