How to Claim your Home Owner Grant (HOG)

To claim your HOG online please click here.

You may also claim your HOG by submitting the completed paper application, located on the bottom of the Tax Notice, to City Hall by mail or by dropping it in one of the drop boxes located at each of the entrances (200 Craig Street, Duncan  V9L 1W3).

In 2020, the HOG must be claimed no later than 4:00 p.m. on September 30, 2020 to avoid penalties. If you miss this deadline, you may apply for the HOG until December 31, 2020 (penalties apply).

To retroactively claim a HOG, please visit the BC Provincial retroactive HOG webpage to obtain the application form.  The form can be scanned and emailed to taxes@duncan.ca or dropped off at City Hall, 200 Craig Street in one of the drop boxes.
