Planning the Future of 85 Station Street & Whistler Street Design Project Update
The City commenced two separate “placemaking” design projects, one for 85 Station Street and one for Whistler Street earlier this year. The process began with a free public presentation on placemaking by Mark Lakeman of Communitecture on February 28th and a public workshop on February 29th and March 1st.
Two more workshops were scheduled for the end of April but were postponed due to COVID-19. The City has created a PlaceSpeak webpage for each location to enable public review and feedback on the draft concept options.
- STATION STREET: There are three design schemes for review http://Placespeak.com/stationstreet
- WHISTLER STREET: There are two design schemes for review http://placespeak.com/whistlerstreet
To provide feedback on these projects, please sign up for a PlaceSpeak account, if you have not already. Once signed up, you will be able complete a survey, join in on discussion, vote for you favourite scheme in a poll, and sign up for project update notifications.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts on the schemes! Based on feedback results, final concepts will be prepared for presentation to City Council this summer.
