City of Duncan 2020 Awards – Nomination Deadline Extended to Oct. 30, 2020
Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized for their contribution to the community? If you would like to nominate someone for the Perpetual Trophy for Excellence & Sportsmanship, Perpetual Arts Trophy or the Scroll of Honour, the nomination application forms are available below and can be dropped off at Duncan City Hall, 200 Craig Street (drop box), or scanned and emailed to duncan@duncan.ca. Deadline has been extended to Friday, October 30, 2020. If a recipient is selected this year for any of these awards, a ‘virtual’ presentation ceremony will take place through Zoom, on Monday, December 7, 2020, 6:00 p.m. on available for public viewing on the City of Duncan’s YouTube page.
PERPETUAL ARTS TROPHY
The Perpetual Arts Trophy recognizes one individual annually who has demonstrated excellence in the performing, literary or visual arts, or:
- whose contributions to arts education have produced visionary creative work, or
- who has contributed significant time and effort to support a Cowichan Valley based artist or arts organization through volunteer service, or
- who has demonstrated outstanding promise and commitment to the Cowichan Valley arts community.
