Construction Notice: Water System Upgrade Project

Copcan Civil Ltd. has been engaged by the Cowichan Tribes to perform water system upgrades to residents along Mountain View Crescent, Miller Road and Indian Road.

Schedule:
• Work will begin November 23, 2020 with an approximate duration of 8 months.

Project and Site Safety:
• Public and worker safety is Copcan’s first priority on all projects. As such, we ask that you respect the posted restricted construction access zones.

Vehicle & Pedestrian Impacts:
• Vehicle Traffic
o During working hours, roadways will be restricted to single lane alternating movement.
o Special consideration for local residents, transit, public service and emergency vehicles will be implemented continually through-out the project.
• Pedestrian Traffic
o Pedestrians will be stopped at the construction zone and directed to pass the work site on walkways opposite to where the works are taking place. Temporary crossing zones will be located near the Traffic Control Personnel.

Work Hours:
• Monday to Friday between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
