North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP want to hear from You!
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP need your input to help establish our policing initiatives for 2022-2023.
Police officers spend the majority of their time responding to calls for service and conducting ongoing investigative follow up. When time allows, officers are in the community proactively working on crime reduction initiatives. Some examples of previous crime reduction initiatives include enhanced foot patrols in the down town business areas, traffic safety campaigns targeting impaired or distracted drivers, engaging with youth in the community and addressing strategic areas of the community with increased police presence.
Each year the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP ask for feedback from the community to help identify priorities and set new policing objectives. In order to hear from as many members of the community as possible, with consideration to COVID-19 precautions, our office will be providing an online questionnaire to gather your input, suggestions and feedback. “Feedback from those we serve is really a crucial part of our future planning” stated detachment commander Inspector Chris Bear, “this lets us set strategic priorities that will have the biggest impact in our community”.

A link to the online questionnaire will be available from February 21 to March 11, 2022. We would like to hear from you!
