Notice of Public Hearing: Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 3231, 2023

City of Duncan Council will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 200 Craig Street, Duncan, BC, to allow the public to provide input to the Council on “Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 3231, 2023”, which proposes to replace the Development Permit Area Guidelines in Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 2030, 2007.
What is the purpose of Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 3231, 2023?
The proposed bylaw is to amend the City’s Official Community Plan by replacing the existing Development Approval Information Area (DAIA) designation and Development Permit Area Guidelines with a new DAIA designation and new Development Permit Area Guidelines. The new Development Permit Area designations include DPA 1 – Design Standards, DPA 2 – Natural Environment, and DPA 3 – Natural Hazards.

The proposed bylaw will be available for public review from Friday, February 24, 2023, to Monday, March 6, 2023, at City Hall, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays), and is also available for review on this webpage below. Attend the Public Hearing at 4:00 pm on Monday, March 6, 2023 at City Hall, 200 Craig Street, Duncan, BC for the opportunity to speak or provide written comments mailed or delivered to City Hall and addressed to Director of Corporate Services, City of Duncan, 200 Craig Street, Duncan BC V9L 1W3 or emailed to paige@duncan.ca before 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 2, 2023. All correspondence received after 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023, and before 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023, will be submitted for public record during the meeting.
