Recycling, garbage and organics pickup

DUNCAN – Due to the high temperatures expected and the early closure of CVRD waste and recycling facilities, the City may not get to your garbage/organics/recycling today. Residents that do not get their garbage/organics/recycling picked up, please keep them out as staff will be starting early tomorrow morning to catch up.

The Cowichan Valley Regional District has amended the hours of operation at their waste and recycling facilities as follows:

Thursday, August 12
• Bings Creek – 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Peerless Road – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Meade Creek – Closed

Friday, August 13
• Bings Creek – 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Peerless Road – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Meade Creek – Closed

Saturday, August 14
• Bings Creek – 8:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Peerless Road – 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Meade Creek – 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
