What is Zoning Bylaw No. 3166, 2017 about?
A Zoning Bylaw is a tool used by the City to regulate permitted land uses for all parcels within City boundaries. The purpose of the proposed bylaw is to replace the current “City of Duncan Zoning Bylaw No. 1540, 1988” with one that will be consistent with the Official Community Plan, be more user friendly, and facilitate development that meets the needs of Duncan’s current and future users. This Bylaw affects the entire City of Duncan.
How has public feedback informed this Bylaw?

For example, staff have removed the ‘below-grade parking requirement’ and the associated cash-in-lieu fee for required underground parking spaces, reinserted the prohibition on fabric covered structures, as well as reduced the additional front and exterior side yard setbacks on Boundary, Evans, Kenneth, and Jubilee Streets from 2 metres to 1.5 metres Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.
