Development Cost Charges Open House

The City of Duncan is currently conducting a review of its Development Cost Charges (DCC) Bylaw. The study will update the City’s current DCC rates as well as investigate related issues.

In British Columbia, Development Cost Charges are a common means of financing growth‐related infrastructure. They are one‐time charges that local governments can levy on new subdivisions and building at the time of approval to assist in financing the cost of upgrading or providing off‐site infrastructure to support new development.

City Council is seeking public input on this subject. A public Open House will be held as follows:

• Location: City Hall Council Chambers, 200 Craig Street, Duncan, BC
• Time: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm (presentation at 6:30 pm)
• Date: January 24, 2013 (Thursday)
