Inter-Community Business Licence Update
The current Inter-Community Business Licence (ICBL) program enables mobile businesses to obtain a $150 licence to operate in 13 municipalities, from Campbell River to Duncan.
On March 18, 2019, City Council will be considering adoption of Inter-Community Business Licence Amendment Bylaw No. 3081.03, 2019, which will expand the program to include participating south island municipalities. In 2020, subject to Council approval, the fee for an ICBL will be increased to $170. A copy of the bylaw is available at City Hall from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, from March 6, 2019 to March 18, 2019, or for download.
Any person with interests affected by this proposed bylaw amendment may attend and speak at the Council meeting at City Hall, 200 Craig Street, on Monday, March 18, 2019, at 6:00 pm. Written submissions will also be accepted by email at duncan@duncan.ca or by mail to Duncan City Hall, 200 Craig Street, Duncan, BC, V9L 1W3, until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2019.
