Remembrance Day, Monday, November 11, 2019

REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY, in honour of our veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of Canada, will be held at the DUNCAN CENTOTAPH, Charles Hoey Park, 10:55 a.m., November 11.

Please arrive no later than 10:50 a.m. at the Cenotaph.

At 11:00 a.m., the fire siren will sound to commence two minutes of silence. During this time of reflection we pause to honour, thank, and remember our fallen. The siren will sound again at the expiration of this time.

All organizations wishing to attend as units and to order wreaths are requested to drop by Poppy Headquarters, 200 Craig Street (below City Hall, at Volunteer Cowichan) between Friday, October 25 and Sunday, November 10, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm, closed Sundays. Wreath orders may also be placed by phone 250-746-5013. Any member of the public wishing to lay a wreath is welcome to do so.

As this is a momentous occasion, we request pet owners to leave their pets at home.
