Garbage Truck Breakdown

May 25, 2021 – The City of Duncan garbage truck broke down today. It is not expected to be back on the road until the end of the week.  However, the Municipality of North Cowichan has come to the City’s rescue by loaning the City one of its trucks so that the garbage and organics collection service can continue. Unfortunately, the loaner truck lacks the ability to pick up both garbage and organics at the same time, so City staff will have to collect garbage first and then organics. They will be working hard to collect all on your scheduled day.

The City of Duncan wishes to thank North Cowichan for assisting in our time of need and apologize to the residents for any inconvenience this may cause.
