Public Notice: Sale of Land 361 St. Julien Street
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 26(3) of the Community Charter that the City of Duncan intends to dispose of the following lands:
The City-owned property at 361 St. Julien Street (Lot 19, Block 9, Plan 1063, Section 17, Range 6, Quamichan District, PID 008-072-892) to Parhar Holdings Ltd. for $300,000 with the condition that Parhar Holdings Ltd. provide for two (2) affordable housing units per residential floor of any resulting development and grant to the City for a nominal sum an Option to Purchase and Right of First Refusal in respect of such affordable housing units. The property sale would complete after the current use of the site by Cowichan Housing Association for temporary homeless persons housing has ceased.
The property is located on the west side of St. Julien Street between Trunk Road and Coronation Avenue, one block west of the Trans- Canada Highway.
Any person(s) who wishes to provide comment to Council on the proposed disposition, may request to be a delegation at the Council meeting (via Zoom) on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., or submit written comments to the Acting Director of Corporate Services prior to the meeting by email at monika@duncan.ca or by mail to 200 Craig Street, Duncan, BC V9L 1W3. Delegation requests must be received by Wednesday June 2, 2021.
