Notice of Temporary Use Permit Renewal (TUP-2021-01) 610 Trunk Road
This notice is to advise that Council will consider renewing an existing Temporary Use Permit (TUP) for LOT A, SECTION 16, RANGE 7, QUAMICHAN DISTRICT, PLAN VIP58624, located at 610 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC.

The City has received an application to renew TUP-2021-01, which authorized the use of the subject property for temporary accommodation of up to 40 unsheltered persons in up to 40 modular cabins. The original TUP was valid for a period of 8 months from January 15, 2022, to September 30, 2022. The renewed TUP, if approved, would be valid for a further 8 months from September 30, 2022, to May 30, 2023.
The proposed TUP may be inspected at City Hall, Monday through Friday between 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, from Thursday, August 4, 2022, to Monday, August 15, 2022. Council will consider this TUP application at the Regular Council Meeting scheduled for Monday, August 15, 2022, 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 200 Craig Street, Duncan BC. Any person who believes their interests may be affected by this proposed TUP renewal may provide written comments mailed or delivered to City Hall and addressed to Director of Corporate Services, City of Duncan, 200 Craig Street, Duncan BC V9L 1W3 or emailed to paige@duncan.ca by 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2022, to ensure inclusion in the public record. Written comments received after 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022, and before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2022, will be submitted for public record during the meeting. Any person who wishes to speak to this application, an opportunity will be afforded during the meeting.
