New Fees for Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations
When?
Effective October 3, 2022, a new fee will be required for charging electric vehicles at the City’s EV Charging Stations.
How much?
- $1.00 per hour for the first three hours
- $2.00 per hour thereafter
Where?
- 341 Trans Canada Highway – TD Bank lot
- 330 Duncan Street (2 stations)
- 200 block Canada Avenue free parking lot
Why?
- To fund the expense of the electricity consumption, and repair and maintenance of the stations.
- To manage demand – usage of the stations has increased and a time-based fee will encourage drivers to move their vehicles along once their charge is complete.
How to Pay?
- You can pay through the ChargePoint app (add your credit card information to the app).
- Any problems with payment call ChargePoint customer service 1-888-758-4389.
