City of Duncan Council will consider issuing a Temporary Use Permit (TUP) for LOT 1 SECTION 16 RANGE 7 QUAMICHAN DISTRICT PLAN 8268 EXCEPT THAT PART IN PLANS 11691 1635 RW AND EPP30376, located at 130 Trans-Canada Highway, Duncan, BC

What is the purpose of the Temporary Use Permit?

The City has received an application to issue a new TUP to authorize the continued use of the subject property for the retail sale of non-medical cannabis. The proposed new TUP, if issued, would be valid for a 3-year term from June 5, 2023, to June 5, 2026.

The proposed TUP will be available for public inspection from Wednesday, May 24, 2023, to Monday, June 5, 2023 at City Hall between 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) and is also available for review on this webpage below. How do I express my views on this Temporary Use Permit?

Attend the Council meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023, at City Hall, 200 Craig Street, Duncan, BC for the opportunity to speak, or provide written comments mailed or delivered to City Hall and addressed to Director of Corporate Services, City of Duncan, 200 Craig Street, Duncan BC V9L 1W3 or emailed to paige@duncan.ca before 12:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2023. All correspondence received after 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023, and before 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023, will be submitted for public record during the meeting.
