Trans-Canada Highway Multi-use Trail Construction
Construction of a new multi-use pathway is now underway along the east-side shoulder of the Trans-Canada Highway. This project is to create a new multi-use pathway for all pedestrians, cyclists and mobility users, running from the Silver Bridge to 140 Trans-Canada Highway.
Access to businesses and Al Wilson Grove will will remain open at all times during construction.
Some single lane closures are anticipated during non-peak times and are coordinated by the construction contractor with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. All of the project work is outside of the highway active corridor and pedestrian access is to be maintained at all times through the work area. Watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting the work area. The construction is anticipated to continue through the Spring.
