Notice of Temporary Use Permit (TUP-2024-01) 610 Trunk Road
Council will consider issuing a new Temporary Use Permit (TUP) for LOT A, SECTION 16, RANGE 7, QUAMICHAN DISTRICT, PLAN VIP58624, located at 610 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC.
What is the purpose of the Temporary Use Permit?
The City has received an application to issue a new TUP to authorize the continued use of the subject property for temporary accommodation of up to 40 unsheltered persons in up to 40 modular sleeping units. The previous two TUPs authorized the temporary uses to take place from January 15, 2022 to November 30, 2024. The proposed new TUP, if issued, would be valid for a 25‑month term from December 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026.

The proposed TUP will be available for public inspection from Wednesday, October 9, 2024, to Monday, October 21, 2024, at City Hall, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays), and is also available for review on this webpage below. Attend the Council meeting at 6:00 pm on Monday, October 21, 2024 at City Hall, 200 Craig Street, Duncan, BC for the opportunity to speak or provide written comments mailed or delivered to City Hall and addressed to Director of Corporate Services, City of Duncan, 200 Craig Street, Duncan BC V9L 1W3 or emailed to paige@duncan.ca before 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024. All correspondence received after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024, and before 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024, will be submitted for public record during the meeting.
