It’s time to vote for your favourite name! Out of all community submissions, 3 names were selected by a panel made up of two members of Council, two Quw’utsun Elders, and two members of the Downtown Duncan BIA.✨
To recognize and celebrate the cultural richness of our community, each of the three names have been adapted in both Hul’q’umi’num’ and English.
The three finalist names are:
- Salish Spirit Place – Salish Suli
- Friendship Square – Hiiye’yutul’
- Gathering Place – Sq’uq’iptul
