Council Update – May 23, 2025
The City of Duncan Council Update is a snapshot of items considered at meetings of Council. These are not the official minutes. Meeting agendas, minutes, and videos can be accessed through the City’s Council Meeting Portal.
A Special Council Meeting was held at 1:00 pm in Council Chamber, Duncan City Hall, to consider the following.
- E-Comm 911 RCMP Dispatch Services Agreement
- Council authorized the signing of a 9-month agreement with E-Comm 911 for police dispatch services, and directed staff to:
- enter negotiations with E-Comm for an agreement for services beyond 2025,
- request detailed financial information on the costs of E-Comm services, and
- explore alternative options for the provision of RCMP dispatch services together with other interested municipalities.
- Council authorized the signing of a 9-month agreement with E-Comm 911 for police dispatch services, and directed staff to:
- Council proclaimed May 25 – 31, 2025 as AccessAbility Week in the City of Duncan.
The regularly scheduled Council meeting of May 26, 2025 has been cancelled.
