Council Update – June 9, 2025

The City of Duncan Council Update is a snapshot of items considered at meetings of Council. These are not the official minutes. Meeting agendas, minutes, and videos can be accessed through the City’s Council Meeting Portal.

• The Officer in Charge of the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP Detachments presented a First Quarter Report and the 2025-2026 Annual Performance Plan.
• Council received the report of the Chief Administrative Officer that includes updates on a number of City initiatives.
• Council received a report regarding upcoming amendments to the City’s Water System Operating Permit for the design and construction of permanent water disinfection facilities as required by Island Health.
• Council received a progress report on the 2023-2026 Council Strategic Plan action items.
• Council proclaimed June 16-22, 2025 as Pollinator Week in the City of Duncan.
• Council proclaimed September 28, 2025 as National British Home Child Day in the City of Duncan.
