The first phase of construction on Duncan’s first major east-west cycling corridor has begun with an important change to the flow of traffic on Queens Road and Ypres Street.
The change involves a new one-way traffic configuration on Ypres Street from Coronation Avenue and along Queens Road westbound to Duncan Street.
The City of Duncan is increasing the supply of parking spaces in downtown Duncan with a new parking lot at 177 Third Street.� Construction will begin on March 31st to convert the property into a gravel pay parking lot that will improve access to downtown for residents and visitors,
The City of Duncan is moving forward with the planned replacement of 5 American sweetgum trees in City Square to improve safety and preserve City Square as a welcoming and beautiful gathering space in downtown Duncan.
Beginning on Friday, April 4, work will include the replacement of the existing trees
The City of Duncan is conducting annual water main flushing from March 17 to May 30, 2025.
Annually each spring, water is flushed through the water pipe system and out a fire hydrant. This program is intended to clean water distribution pipes of sediment that builds up over time.
Please be advised that the traffic signal lights at the intersection of Festubert Street and Trunk Road are inoperative at this time. We appreciate your patience as we await the required part to repair the controller, hopefully by the end of this week.
