Please be advised of the following closures/traffic delays taking place next week in order to accommodate paving:
August 7, 2024: Ypres Street between Coronation and Queens – the north travel lane will be closed between 8am – 2pm
August 8, 2024: Kenneth Street between Government and Jubilee – the east
Single lane alternating traffic will be in place during the day on Canada Avenue on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, before a full street closure on Canada Ave at Evans Street for the night, beginning at 6:00 pm, to facilitate the installation of utilities.Please refer to the detour routes shown
Single alternating traffic will be in place on Government Street between Cairnsmore and Herbert to facilitate tree removal from June 18 - 21 between the hours of 9:00 am - 2:30 pm. Traffic Controllers will be onsite to direct traffic.
Effective May 15, 2024, new traffic signal timing has been implemented at the Canada Avenue – Government Street – Cowichan Way dual intersections. The new timing has been carefully designed to improve the intersection dynamics overall.
