Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 53 – Remembrance Day

A REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY, in honour of our veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of Canada, will be held at the DUNCAN CENOTAPH, Charles Hoey Park, 10:55 a.m., November 11.
Please arrive no later than 10:50 a.m. at the Cenotaph.
At 11:00 a.m., the fire siren will sound to commence two minutes of silence. During this time of reflection, we pause to honour, thank, and remember our fallen. The siren will sound again at the expiration of this time.
All organizations wishing to attend as units and to order wreaths are requested to drop by Poppy Headquarters, St. John’s Anglican Church 486 Jubilee Street, between October 18 and November 10 (excluding Sundays) between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day. Any member of the public wishing to lay a wreath is welcome to do so.
As this is a momentous occasion, we request pet owners to leave their pets at home.
