The City of Duncan has joined thousands of other cities, businesses and individuals in participating in the Earth Hour international lights out event on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 8:30 – 9:30 p.m.
The City of Duncan has joined thousands of other cities, businesses and individuals in participating in the Earth Hour international lights out event on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 8:30 – 9:30 p.m.
The City of Duncan has once again been awarded the Canadian Award for Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers’ Association of the United States and Canada for the year ended in December 31, 2012.
The Ministry of Environment in collaboration with Island Health has issued an Air Quality Advisory for Duncan and vicinity because of high concentrations of fine particulates that are expected to persist for the next 3 days.
The community of Duncan and surrounding areas are invited to visit It’s An Honour!, a new travelling exhibit about the Canadian Honours System that is now making its way across the country. Over the next two years, it will journey to schools, community centres, special events and small towns to connect with and inspire visitors of all ages.
The Municipality of North Cowichan, City of Duncan and Town of Lake Cowichan are pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached to end the two-tier fee structure at the Cowichan Aquatic Centre for residents of the Town of Lake Cowichan. Beginning immediately residents of the Town will no longer be required to pay the higher two-tier fee to use the pool.
