City of Duncan Council will consider issuing a Temporary Use Permit (TUP) for LOT 1 SECTION 19 RANGE 5 QUAMICHAN DISTRICT PLAN VIP76282, located at 531 Herbert Street, Duncan, BC.
What is the purpose of the Temporary Use Permit?
The City has received an application to issue a TUP to authorize the temporary use of the subject property for a 20-bed extreme weather response shelter. The shelter is proposed within the existing St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on the subject property. If issued, the TUP would be valid from November 6, 2023 to April 20, 2025.

The proposed TUP is available for public inspection at City Hall, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays), and is also available for review on this webpage below. Attend the Council meeting at 6:00 pm on Monday, November 6, 2023 at City Hall, 200 Craig Street, Duncan, BC for the opportunity to speak or provide written comments mailed or delivered to City Hall and addressed to Director of Corporate Services, City of Duncan, 200 Craig Street, Duncan BC V9L 1W3 or emailed to paige@duncan.ca before 12:00 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023. All correspondence received after 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023, and before 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023, will be submitted for public record during the meeting.
