Construction beneath the Tzouhalem Road bridge (just east of Lakes Rd.) will begin in late November 22 to repair supports for North Cowichan and Duncan’s water mains that run beneath the bridge. This work will require that the bridge be reduced to single lane alternating traffic occassionally throughout the project

DUNCAN, BC: On September 29, 2022, a private cultural ceremony was held to reinstall the Stan Modeste Totem, Salish Bear, to its rightful place at the Malahat Summit. Hosted by the Modeste family, representatives of the Cowichan Tribes, Malahat, Halalt, Lyackson, Stz'uminus, and Penelakut First Nations, City
